Empowering Coaches, Mentors and Practitioners Across Europe The UNITE project is proud to introduce the UNITE Toolbox, a comprehensive collection of practical resources designed to support mentors, coaches, counsellors and organisations working with refugees and migrants. Developed through international collaboration and informed by real-world experiences across partner countries, the toolbox provides evidence-based methods and ready-to-use materials that strengthen inclusion and employment pathways. The UNITE Toolbox brings together a variety of resources that support both professionals and participants throughout the integration journey. It includes coaching tools, mentoring guidelines, assessment instruments, self-reflection exercises, learning materials and practical templates that can be adapted to different local contexts. As the Austrian pilot phase wraps up, we look at who took part: 35 people, overwhelmingly highly qualified women, each with a different story. The numbers tell one part of the story — the individual paths behind them tell the rest.
UNITE brings together coaches and mentors who work closely with people navigating a genuinely difficult life transition. Supporting people who have recently fled a war, and who are navigating an unfamiliar country while carrying real uncertainty about their future, means that difficult and emotionally heavy topics come up regularly in coaching sessions. That is precisely why the exchange between coaches and mentors across the four partner countries — Sweden, Poland, Germany, and Austria — has become such a valuable part of the project. So far, two online meetings have brought together coaches and mentors from all partner organisations.
