Hunt For Europe Newsletter 1 released

Hunt For Europe Newsletter 1 released

On 9 June 2021, a webinar presentation of the “Hunt for Europe” project was held. The webinar involved our stakeholders, i.e. 40 teachers of the partner countries who will be involved in the test with their students next year. It’s a mix between learning the language and learning aspects of everyday life, customs, and traditions of a country, with a view to total integration, the most important objective of the project.

Read more about the current state of development in our first newsletter.

The project is funded by the “ERASMUS+” programme. Our international partners are: EnAIP Piemonte (Italy), LudusXR (Denmark), Wisamar (Germany), Centre 4 Education (Spain), Vardakeios School of Hermoupolis (Greece), MTU (Ireland).

Why are intercultural competences so important in healthcare?

Why are intercultural competences so important in healthcare?

In everyday care, people from different cultures come together. In their daily work, healthcare staff often have to master challenging situations.

Especially in intercultural encounters, it is different knowledge, different attitudes, reservations, etc. that lead to misunderstandings.

In the Erasmus+ project I-CARE we are developing various materials on the topic of intercultural/transcultural care and making them available to all those working in social and care professions.

Through more intercultural competence, nurses gain more confidence in dealing with diverse patients/client groups. Knowing how to react correctly and concrete tips for dealing with delicate situations contribute to better mutual understanding and thus reduce stress in everyday work. In the end, everyone benefits – patients, staff and not least the entire organisation.
