Transnational Project Meeting VET-ECOoking
We want to share some impressions from our last transnational project meeting for the VET-ECOoking project. It took place in Vienna on the 4th and 5th of October.
The partners had very fruitful discussions about the finalised project activities, namely the research on existing curricula and good practices on sustainable cooking and the interviews that were conducted with more than 100 people in relevant food fields.
We also talked about the next steps and started planning the roundtables with experts in VET training, environmental sustainability and gastronomy industry.
Digital Cultural Ambassadors for more intercultural dialogue!
In a strongly connected world the importance of real intercultural dialogue and the knowledge about other continents and countries is every day more important.
The Erasmus+ project DICA is trying to form digital Cultural Ambassadors that will give new insights in different cultures based on individual stories.
We asked in Austria 8 persons, what means culture for them and how their origin is influencing their identity.
Based on the individual stories we are creating now animated videos, that will give insights in various cultures.

Digitale Kulturbotschafter*innen als neues Zeichen für Interkulturalität
In einer immer mehr vernetzten Welt wird interkultureller Dialog und Kenntnis über andere Kontinente und Länder immer wichtiger.
Genau deshalb versucht das Erasmus+ Projekt DICA mit digitalen Kulturbotschafter*innen hier Einblicke und neue Impulse zu geben.
Wir haben in den letzten Monaten 8 Personen befragt, was für sie Kultur ist und wie ihre Herkunft ihre Identität geprägt hat.
Aus diesen individuellen Geschichten entstehen jetzt animierte Videos, die bald einen Einblick in unterschiedliche Kulturen bieten werden.

SLACC – the project website is published
We are happy to announce that the official website of the SLACC project is now open to the public. At https://slacc-project.eu you can find information about the project and the partnership in several languages. In the future, all results and materials will also be shared there. What is SLACC about? SLACC is a project funded by Erasmus+ and aims to disprove myths and fake news about climate change.
The goal of SLACC is to improve critical thinking skills among young people and provide them with the communication skills that are necessary to identify fake news about climate change. SLACC aims to prepare young people to become climate ambassadors and protect our planet from destructive actions.

Mit Freude dürfen wir verkünden, dass die offizielle Webseite des Projekts SLACC nun für alle zugänglich und öffentlich ist. Unter der Webseite https://slacc-project.eu/ findet ihr in mehreren Sprachen Informationen zu dem Projekt und der Partnerschaft. In Zukunft werden dort auch alle Resultate und Materialien geteilt.
Worum geht es bei SLACC? SLACC ist ein Projekt das von Erasmus+ gefördert wird und Mythen und Fake News über den Klimawandel widerlegen soll. Das Ziel von SLACC ist es, die Fähigkeit zum kritischen Denken bei jungen Menschen zu verbessern und ihnen die notwendigen Kommunikationsfähigkeiten zu vermitteln, um falsche Nachrichten über den Klimawandel zu erkennen.
SLACC möchte junge Menschen darauf vorbereiten, Klimabotschafter zu werden und unseren Planeten vor destruktiven Handlungen zu schützen.
Successful Erasmus+ Multiplier Event
The event „With Erasmus+ projects: Digitisation. Sustainability. Entrepreneurship. Labour market “ at TOP-Lokal, Vienna on 13 October 2022 was jointly organised by die Berater, ipcenter.at, VHS and ÖJAB and registered as part of #ErasmusDays 2022. 42 EU project managers, experts, trainers, coaches and programme managers in adult education and vocational education and training took part.
At this informal meeting results and experiences from EU projects in three thematic areas were presented and discussed how these outcomes could be integrated into professional practice.
Three topics were discussed:
- Digital competences for the labour market and social participation
- Learning for sustainable development, with focus on the Erasmus+ projects
- Skills development for entrepreneurship and the labour market
Our focus was on the Erasmus+ projects ILDE, SUM, Missing Entrepreneurs and Cur8.
In addition, experiences from the projects YouEU, Care4Carers, TUTOR and Creative Change were informally brought into the discussions.
Afterwards, there was a networking buffet to exchange ideas how innovation needs in adult and vocational education and training can be met through future projects and cooperation.

Event im Rahmen der #ErasmusDays 2022
Anlässlich der Erasmus Days 2022 organisierten wir am Donnerstag, 13. Oktober, zusammen mit den Wiener Volkshochschulen, ÖJAB und ipcenter.at eine Veranstaltung im TOP Lokal im 1. Bezirk mit dem Ziel verschiedene, innovative Erasmus+ Projekte aus drei verschiedenen Themenkreisen zu präsentieren.
Bei diesem informellen Fachaustausch wurden die verschiedenen Ergebnisse und Erfahrungen aus EU-Projekten vorgestellt und gemeinsam diskutiert, wie diese in die berufliche Praxis integriert werden könnten.
Die Veranstaltung bot auch die Möglichkeit zum informellen Networking.
Welcome to our VET-ECOoking project!
The Erasmus+ project VET-ECOoking – Module for VET Degrees on Gastronomy on “Sustainable Cooking” will be implemented from 2021 to 2023. The partnership includes partners from Germany, Austria, Greece and Portugal.
This project aims at accomplishing the following main objectives:
– Create a training module on “Sustainable Cooking” for VET students in the field of cooking;
– Develop hard and soft skills of VET students to prepare sustainable, high-quality gastronomy and raise awareness for the importance of fighting climate change;
– Better prepare the VET students to address the challenges at the workplace, with a focus on the greener dietary options;
– Increase of the notoriety of VET in the field of cooking; and
– Use cooking as a departure point to raise awareness for the Sustainable Development Goals (namely no.s 2, 3, 6 and 12).
