European Training on Creativity and Innovation
You can develop ideas about zero waste strategies for tourism, concepts for women entrepreneurs, sustainable urban co-working spaces but also visions about zoos in the future – just within five days. In the framework of the EU-Project CIM (Creativity and Innovation management in Higher Education, cim-project.eu) University teachers and trainers met in Palermo to learn more about teaching approaches in Creativity and Innovation.
Instead of doing Christmas shopping in the second week of December, approx. 40 participants joined the 5-day training to work in teams on innovative and sustainable project ideas, develop concepts and strategies to implement innovation into different contexts. die Berater® and CATRO Bulgaria were represented by two teams of trainers and students, collecting ideas and inspiration for future leaning projects inside and outside their organisations.

At St.H, in Palermo and at Heliotec, in La Vall D’Uixo, the learners coming from Italy, Greece and Denmark improved their knowledge and competences on renewable energies through the expert guide of their company mentors. During 2 weeks through classes, visits and workshops, the participants have not only learnt more about green energy but also boosted their soft skills, such as their communication and intercultural skills, improving their technical English and getting used to work and share ideas with people from other countries.

From 24-25 October, 32 participants from Universities from the Western Balkan as well as from Germany, Portugal and Austria came together at die Berater® in Vienna, to work on strategies to include informal learning in Higher Education to enhance the development of service related competences.

Asylberechtigte und subsidiär Schutzberechtigte stellen die österreichische Gegenwartsgesellschaft vor vielfältige Herausforderungen. Eine Schlüsselkategorie, an der sich eine große Zahl der Schwierigkeiten und Konflikte, aber genauso der Chancen und Potentiale festmachen lässt, ist die des Geschlechts (Gender). Es sind vor allem junge Männer und Frauen aus Afghanistan, Syrien und dem Irak, die im Zuge der aktuellen Flüchtlingsbewegungen nach Österreich gekommen sind.
