3rd project newsletter is now available

The I.CE.A. project continues its actions to promote circular economy through learning and networking opportunities for established and new green entrepreneurs. The 3rd project e-Newsletter is now available and covers the actions of the consortium. Today is the 50th anniversary of the World Environment Day!

Since 1973 the 5th of June is celebrated to raise awareness for the need of global action to conserve and restore our environment. It is the most renowned day for environmental action.
In our My Eco Track Erasmus + project we are targeting one of the key groups of people when it comes to shifting mindsets and recognising the need for the protection of our planet: Young People. A Handbook on different topics regarding climate change and concrete actions for environmental protection was developed for trainers and youthworkers who work with this target group. Along with that, the partnership just launched a Mobile App providing an engaging combination of informational material and interactive elements on key aspects of climate change. The App is available on Google Playstore and soon also on Apple store.

First I.CE.A Mini Workshop on Green Entrepreneurship conducted in die Berater®

As part of the I.CE.A project that die Berater® is implementing alongside its seven international partners, the first Mini Workshop on Green Entrepreneurship was held in die Berater® on May 9^th 2023. The workshop, which is an I.CE.A project result, also took place in the partner countries of the project – Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, Cyprus, Greece, Luxembourg and Spain.

I.CE.A. – Investing on Circular Economy through Adults – aims to offer high quality learning and networking opportunities, responding to the needs of adults wishing to dynamically engage in circular economy activities. The project strives to create a bridge between green entrepreneurs and those who are yet to become ones. Social entrepreneurship signals the imperative to drive social change and the project aims to trigger and reinforce this change.

The projects main objectives are to up-skill and re-skill adults to explore innovative eco-opportunities, in order to stimulate innovation around the green economy and in that way battle unemployment; to build resilient communities by “going circular” and adopt and transfer practices and knowledge that can prevent environmental dismantling; to promote social entrepreneurship through its mini workshops that spark people’s interest in green economy and further develop their competences, triggering a positive avalanche effect for other individuals around the topic; and to develop digital tools that will support adults around their own circular and green ideas and practices. These tools aim to increase adults’ engagement and interaction with circular and green activities and practices.

The workshop conducted on May 9^th holds a central role in achieving I.CE.A’s goals. Alongside an Interactive Map developed for users of all eight partner countries and fully available in all respective languages, another project result is the I.CE.A Toolkit on Green Entrepreneurship, which guides the Mini Workshops and supports adult educators through interactive and engaging learning material related to the topic of circular economy.

The main idea of the mini workshops is to genuinely create interest for the topic of circular economy and provide information, resources and backdrop for adults to rethink their own practices, imagine some brand-new ones, polish out a green idea they already had, or start planning a completely new business, activity or way of living. The first evaluation results of the workshop already show great results, with a lot of participants stating how they got inspired to implement an idea that came to mind before or during the workshop, and many were thrilled to learn about the potential hidden in circular economy and the circular practices close to them which they may not have through about or noticed before.

All in all, the I.CE.A partnership is satisfied with its first results and will continue to enthusiastically carry out the project. For more information on the I.CE.A project, please make sure to visit our website, and follow us on Facebook.

die Berater® is hosting its’ first I.CE.A Mini Workshop on Green Entrepreneurship

As part of the I.CE.A project, die Berater® is hosting its’ first Mini Workshop on Green Entrepreneurship, focusing on the topic “Circular Economy and Ideas for Green Projects”! We will meet next Tuesday, May 9th at 11:00 in the seminar room on the 4th floor of the die Berater® office in Wipplingerstraße 32/23-25, 1010 Vienna. By registering, you will receive:

To dive into the topic of Circular Economy, we suggest you have a look at the website of the ICEA project and the interactive map for circular economy in the partner countries developed by our project partnership. Furthermore, we would like to draw your attention to the just published magazine Circular Insider Austria of the Circular Economy Forum Austria, which offers interesting insights into the topic and the state of developments in Austria. Please note that we will make video, audio and photo recordings of the workshop for the project report and dissemination.

Dealing with AD(H)D in the Classroom: Competence Framework and Curriculum for Initial and In-Service Training

Among the mental disorders of childhood and adolescence, Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (AD(H)D) takes a prominent position with its relative frequency – the worldwide prevalence is 3 – 5%.
Over the past decades, a considerable body of knowledge about AD(H)D and supportive measures for school and teaching has accumulated in the scientific and professional community.
The aim of the Teaching AD(H)D Children (TAC) project is to incorporate this knowledge into a comprehensive training and further education programme for teachers at primary and secondary level. TAC now presents a competence framework with a description of a curriculum.

How do we get more active participation of young people in daily life? The YouLead training in Palermo tried to answer this question:

After having worked intensively in the last months on the two main YouLead project outcomes, the interactive training course and the Toolkit, we met in Palermo with engaged trainers, youth workers and other experts from all over Europe to test the developed material and try some of the activities. During the three intensive days we also had the opportunity to discuss methods how to motivate young people to get more active – and we talked about the obstacles that make it hard for young people to actively engage in decision processes and public affairs in Europe. The range of digital teaching and learning materials, Open Educational Resources (OER) and knowledge nuggets is growing all the time.

Here’s a new podcast, here’s an interesting article, and here’s another interesting link that fits perfectly with the current course topic! This creates new challenges for trainers, teachers and educators. The more content there is, the harder it is to find, filter and organise relevant online resources for your own learning offers. In addition, the increasing digitalisation of learning and teaching leads to an urgent need for educators with digital literacy skills and experience in implementing collaborative learning strategies and supporting self-organised learning.

With the results of the now completed Erasmus+ project Cur8, learning and development professionals can increase the impact of their work. Collaborate, curate and make an impact! is the tagline of the Cur8 Learning Experience Platform. Here you will find contributions on the main topics of curating learning content and using new technologies for training. Content is available in English, Bulgarian, Swedish and German.
