TAC – Teaching AD(H)D Children

Dealing with AD(H)D in the Classroom: Competence Framework and Curriculum for Initial and In-Service Training

Among the mental disorders of childhood and adolescence, Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (AD(H)D) takes a prominent position with its relative frequency – the worldwide prevalence is 3 – 5%.
Over the past decades, a considerable body of knowledge about AD(H)D and supportive measures for school and teaching has accumulated in the scientific and professional community.
The aim of the Teaching AD(H)D Children (TAC) project is to incorporate this knowledge into a comprehensive training and further education programme for teachers at primary and secondary level. TAC now presents a competence framework with a description of a curriculum.

How do we get more active participation of young people in daily life?

How do we get more active participation of young people in daily life? The YouLead training in Palermo tried to answer this question:

After having worked intensively in the last months on the two main YouLead project outcomes, the interactive training course and the Toolkit, we met in Palermo with engaged trainers, youth workers and other experts from all over Europe to test the developed material and try some of the activities. During the three intensive days we also had the opportunity to discuss methods how to motivate young people to get more active – and we talked about the obstacles that make it hard for young people to actively engage in decision processes and public affairs in Europe. With the YouLead materials we try to help and encourage young people. Find more information here!

Cur8: Learning topics for learning professionals

The range of digital teaching and learning materials, Open Educational Resources (OER) and knowledge nuggets is growing all the time.

Here’s a new podcast, here’s an interesting article, and here’s another interesting link that fits perfectly with the current course topic! This creates new challenges for trainers, teachers and educators. The more content there is, the harder it is to find, filter and organise relevant online resources for your own learning offers. In addition, the increasing digitalisation of learning and teaching leads to an urgent need for educators with digital literacy skills and experience in implementing collaborative learning strategies and supporting self-organised learning.

With the results of the now completed Erasmus+ project Cur8, learning and development professionals can increase the impact of their work. Collaborate, curate and make an impact! is the tagline of the Cur8 Learning Experience Platform. Here you will find contributions on the main topics of curating learning content and using new technologies for training. Content is available in English, Bulgarian, Swedish and German. The Cur8 Toolbox, which is integrated into the LXP, focuses on useful tools for trainers. Take part and find your new favourite tool!

How can we unfold the potential of technical innovation in the care sector?

How can we unfold the potential of technical innovation in the care sector?

Digital technologies and assistive systems can significantly relieve the burden of care and improve the quality of life of older people. However, in a first step, careworkers need to acquire the necessary digital competences and IT-skills in order to benefit from the technical innovation in their daily work. That’s where the DiMicare project comes in. Check out the project flyer to see what we planned in order to meet the current demand for digital upskilling!

Smart Technologies for Innovation in Teacher Training

The EKT Project started in November 2019. Due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, its duration had to be extended by half a year until April 2023.

A lot of work has been done by the project partners: They carried out preliminary research, developed a methodological framework, produce several versions of the EKT Platform, tested and improved it in two piloting cycles in Austria, England, Ireland, Portugal and Spain, and implemented a wide range of dissemination and promotion activities in the education and research sector.

In the two remaining months, the project results are now being polished, finalised and proudly presented to the project’s target audiences.

Register for the EKT Final Conference and have a look at the EKT Newsletter.

Curious Curation Conference Recap

Curious Curation Conference Recap

Online Event and Final Conference for the Critical Curation and Collaboration in Learning project Cur8

On Thursday, 9 March, 2023 we had the pleasure of hosting the Curious Curation Conference online from our headquarters in Vienna. The conference aimed to explore the topic of learning content curation for upskilling and reskilling, and the critical digital competences needed by educators for this task. We were delighted to welcome more than 50 learning and development professionals from all over Europe and we were particularly happy to see many educators from Ukraine join us, too.

The Cur8 project team was on-site to present the context of learning content curation as well as some of the material that has been created as part of the project. We also used innovative tools such as Mentimeter and Slido to allow participants to actively engage in the conference. Moreover, we were proud to announce the public launch of the Cur8 Learning Experience Platform and Toolbox and encourage our readers to take a look and explore the many resources available on the platform.

We would like to thank all the presenters and attendees for making the event a success!

Those who missed out on the conference, a documentation of the conference including all slides is available via the conference padlet.

Don’t forget to connect with the Cur8 project on LinkedIn to stay up to date.

The Cur8 project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The Curious Curation online conference is organized by the Cur8 Consortium and hosted by die Berater®.
