The CONVOLUT project’s last steps

As we come closer to the end of an incredible journey, a mix of emotions fills our hearts. Therefore, the date for our final meeting has been set! On the 7th of November, we will gather once again, to close this chapter jointly.

This ProfilPASS conference will take place online. Before that, however, we have another meeting planned. Our last face-to-face meeting is scheduled for the 7th and 8th of September in Bonn.

This will be a important occasion, as it marks our final in-person interaction. As we approach these milestones, let’s reflect on the remarkable journey we’ve undertaken.Throughout this journey, we have gained experiences, created new friendships and expanded our knowledge.

We are looking forward seeing everyone!

Embracing Inclusivity in Teacher Education – Story behind Tutor

Do you know how Tutor come to be?
Four years prior to its official launch in 2022, we recognised the need for new teaching strategies to enhance teacher education.

In 2019, the European Commission called for the development of innovative approaches to improve teacher education. By 2020, following the council conclusions on the European Teacher & Trainers for the Future, the finalised Action Plan was published.

This period of thoughtful planning and preparation allowed us to shape it into the exceptional project it is developing to be. Join us on this exciting journey of promoting inclusivity. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our students and beyond!

Embracing Inclusivity in Teacher Education – Inclusive Education

Before we start to dip deeper into the project we want to share our statement of inclusivity. What does it actually mean for us?

We at Tutor think that Inclusivity means embracing differences, i.e. to be respected for your thoughts, ideas and the way you live. We firmly believe that all people, no matter their identity and personal characteristics, such as sexual orientation gender identity, Sex characteristics, age, race, skin colour and socio-economic status should have equal opportunity and access to education.

By incorporating inclusive education practices and language, we aim to address and facilitate the potential challenges that minority groups might encounter. Our commitment to inclusivity not only enriches the educational experience but also contributes to a more equitable and harmonious society.

Join us on this exciting journey of promoting inclusivity and shaping a brighter future for our students. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our students and beyond!

SmartHome4Seniors – It is time for you!

We are excited to share that the first SmartHome4Seniors Guide is in the making. It is designed to simplify the process and empower seniors to confidently embrace the benefits of a smart home.

From basic concepts to practical implementation, the guide will offer step-by-step instructions and helpful tips to ensure a seamless and enriching experience.

But that’s not all! If you are interested in being a part of our pilot program, we invite you to reach out to us. We are looking for people +55 who are eager to learn and explore the world of smart homes. The participants will have the opportunity to try out the SmartHome4Seniors Kit, allowing them to gain hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the smart home concept.

Why choose organic food? VET-ECOoking

In today’s world, an increasing number of people are adopting a healthier lifestyle and prioritising their well-being and environmental impact. Organic food emerges as a compelling option that offers numerous benefits to individuals and the planet.

Improved nutrition and taste, support for sustainable agriculture, and environmental protection are some of the key reasons why organic food stands out as a conscientious choice.

But keep in mind: Regional is not necessarily sustainable!

Organic farming involves few safeguards concerning water usage and little active promotion of biodiversity!

Volunteering during retirement

CONVOLUT aims to inspire and encourage people at the beginning of their retirement to engage in volunteering.

Special tools like the ProfilPASS provide support and motivation for these people. But why is volunteering so beneficial during retirement?

Retirement is a time to enjoy the successes of one’s career and embrace one’s newfound freedom.

However, many retirees are looking for some kind of meaningful way to spend their free time. Therefore, volunteering is a wonderful opportunity and brings many benefits. See above for more information!

Embracing Inclusivity in Teacher Education – Introducing TUTOR Project!

At TUTOR, we are committed to fostering a European and International outlook in secondary teacher education with a strong emphasis on inclusivity. As educators, we recognize the profound impact teachers have by accompanying the learning and personality development of their students. In today’s diverse and interconnected world, teaching inclusively is not just important; it is essential.

Our mission at TUTOR revolves around focusing to three groups of students that are particularly at risk to be excluded or discriminated:

• Students from the LGBTQI+ community
• Students with migrant/refugee background
• Students facing socio-economic disadvantages
By creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, we aim to empower and embrace ALL students. Join us on this transformative journey of promoting inclusivity and shaping a brighter future for our students and teachers. Together, we can make a difference!

We have some news about the SmartHome4Seniors project!

Our team took a big step and built the first Kit, which will help seniors to get a better understanding of Smart home. We are seven partners from all around the world who met in Athens to discuss further details. During this event, we had the opportunity to receive training on a kit to understand the benefits of Smart home better. The training sessions were intensive and hands-on, providing us with valuable programming skills and a deep understanding of the kit’s functionalities.

With this comprehensive kit, we aim to revolutionize the way seniors engage with technology, ensuring their active participation and enhanced well-being. By integrating user-friendly interfaces and tailored features, we are confident that seniors will gain new digital skills and enjoy a more connected and independent lifestyle.

Soon the piloting phase will start, where we need some Volunteers (55+) to try out our Kit.

Need of digital upskilling among health care workers is recognised in the EU

Digitalisation is becoming one of the main topic in the EU in the context of health care.

The HealthcareITNews report about the efforts of the European Union to digitalise healthcare systems across the continent, with initiatives focused on everything from electronic health record (EHR) interoperability to more comprehensive digital tools and services for patients.

This further confirms the need of developing digital skills among health care workers by improving access, enhancing efficiency, empowering patients, and harnessing the power of data and analytics to deliver more efficient, accessible, and patient-centric care. The DiMiCare partnership is glad that they are very much aligned with the trends and requirements in the field of healthcare by implementing this project.
