Culturally sensitive care: I-CARE project piloting starts
The training materials for the project “I-Care – Culturally Sensitive Care in Social and Health Care” are ready – so nothing stands in the way of the test run! In cooperation with Volkshilfe Upper Austria and Senecura, we are piloting the training materials on the topic of intercultural competence in social and health care.
What does cultural diversity mean in social and health care? What challenges does it bring with it, what opportunities can organisations and professionals use for their everyday work? The I-CARE training includes eight learning modules on various topics of intercultural competence: How does cultural awareness develop, what pitfalls lurk in intercultural communication? What do I need to know about different traditions and customs that can affect everyday care?
With the health facility Senecura and Volkshilfe Oberösterreich, we were able to win partners for the piloting of the I-Care trainings in Austria. From January to the beginning of February, training sessions will take place in which professionals from senior care and mobile care will train their intercultural competences.
The I-CARE project team is looking forward to an interesting exchange and feedback on the developed materials!
Mit der Gesundheitseinrichtung Senecura und der Volkshilfe Oberösterreich konnten wir Partner für die Pilotierung der I-Care Trainings gewinnen. Von Jänner bis Anfang Februar finden Schulungen statt, in denen Fachkräfte aus der SeniorInnenbetreuung und der mobile Pflege ihre interkulturellen Kompetenzen trainieren.
Das Erasmus+ Projekt Pulse 2.0 will Sprach- und Kommunikationskompetenzen in den Bereichen Pflegeassistenz, Heimhilfe und Personenbetreuung stärken. Nun stehen als Projektergebnisse 
Unterrepräsentierte Bevölkerungsgruppen im Unternehmertum können von den digitalen Möglichkeiten zur Unterstützung von Unternehmensgründung und –wachstum profitieren.
So well, in fact, that they have probably changed our working modes in an international context permanently. Even though we will certainly not want to and cannot do without the very special quality of personal transnational working meetings and professional exchange at conferences across borders in the future, we will nevertheless examine more carefully than before which occasions could perhaps be organised just as well digitally. This will not least have a positive effect on the protection of our climate. Our EU projects will be greener, not only in the topics, but also in implementation. We have developed internal guidelines for this, which we will share with our project partners at the beginning of next year.
Auch wenn wir sicher in Zukunft nicht auf die ganz besondere Qualität von persönlichen transnationalen Arbeitstreffen und Fachaustausch auf Konferenzen über Grenzen hinweg verzichten wollen und können, werden wir doch sorgfältiger als zuvor prüfen, welche Anlässe digital vielleicht ebenso gut gestaltbar sind. Dies kommt dann nicht zuletzt dem Schutz unseres Klimas zugute. Unsere EU-Projekte werden grüner sein, nicht nur in den Themen, auch in der Umsetzung. Wir haben hierzu interne Leitlinien erarbeitet, die wir zu Beginn des nächsten Jahres mit unseren Projektpartnern teilen werden.
Das
IRENEs MULTILINGUALE E-LEARNING-PLATTFORM
The project team in the Innsbruck branch of die Berater® took on the task of developing and implementing a programme for 130 migrants that included skills assessment, soft skills training, digital literacy training, job application training and internship placement, working closely with regional integration stakeholders and businesses. Not an easy undertaking in times of pandemic and lockdowns and only a short time window due to the project’s subsequent entry.
