Our Priority Area for New Erasmus+ Projects: Learning and working for sustainability

A special priority of the new Erasmus+ programme will be the contribution of the education, training and youth sectors to the European Union’s Green Deal and to sustainability at large.

For die Berater® sustainability is much more than a buzzword that is already worn out before it has been properly understood and rudimentarily implemented.

We want to live sustainability in education. Acting sustainably means not acting at the expense of future generations. Thinking and acting responsibly,  without (knowingly) causing permanent damage to people and the environment.

Our Priority Area for New Erasmus+ Projects: Opening up opportunities for young people

The key to our future is the younger generation. The better young people are educated, trained and prepared for the labour market and active participation in society, the better they will be capable to finding creative solutions to the challenges ahead. This preparation for the future does not only take in schools, colleges and universities. Learning takes also place at work, in youth centres, sports clubs or in volunteering activities. And learning, especially with young people, should contain elements of fun, making use of innovative open and digital learning formats. die Berater® offers young people a wide range of different learning opportunities.

The demographic change and the trend of an aging society pose a global challenge, to our burden to our pension and health insurance systems, to the labour market, education and society at large.

In all of these areas we need to take age into account as a critical factor. We at die Berater® implement a range of age-sensitive projects and initiatives promoting age-sensitive approaches. WHAT ARE THE MAIN TARGET GROUPS?
✓ Educators in alternative educational institutions for adults who haven’t completed secondary education.
✓ Adults with low typical skills who haven’t completed the secondary education/and or are in search for a job.
✓ Institutions and stakeholders active in adult education (e.g. employment agencies, VET providers, recruiters, employers’ associations).

First Call of the New Erasmus+ Programme Imminent – Let’s Get Started!

We are still waiting for the first call for proposals of the new Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027 being published. It is expected for the end of this month. The period for project writing will be short, so a lot of projects proposals have already started to be prepared.

With many of you we have successfully cooperated in previous programme periods and do hope to continue our cooperation in the new Erasmus+ programme. And with many other recipients of our newsletter we would like to start working together.

We are keen on discussing with you new project proposals, especially around our thematic priorities (cf. also our profile):

• Innovative responses to digital transformation
• Learning and working for sustainability
• Taking everybody on board
• Caring for the older generations
• Opening up opportunities for young people
• Unfolding human potentials
• Safeguarding health, integrity and wellbeing

We will also bring into any Erasmus project our wide experience in strategic project development, transnational project management, communication and dissemination, as well as our MediaCompetence department’s know how with regard to online learning, content creation or gamification.

All topics mentioned above play important roles in Erasmus. And of course also in other funding programmes we will also be active in: Horizon Europe, the Interreg programmes, AMF, ESF, Rights and Values, Creative Europe…
