Final Conference and Exhibition:

With a sense of fulfilment and joy, we met in Göttingen in September 22 for the final conference of our Climate Box project. On the topic of “Open learning and development spaces for sustainability and local development”, we joined other exciting projects and local initiatives under the umbrella of REVEAL – a European network that promotes open, competence-based learning.
More than 100 European and local guests were able to exchange ideas and get inspired about climate change and sustainability in a highly interactive programme with an exhibition of 25 exhibits, workshops and panel discussions.
The hybrid-guided exhibition presented a well-coordinated mix of state-of-the-art sustainable products and services, SDG management formats, educational opportunities, heritage conservation initiatives and much more.
The virtual part of the exhibition can be visited here.
“Unbox It” – was the motto once again at the Climate Box exhibition stand. Packed in boxes, visitors found small entertaining climate-related tasks that got them thinking and discussing.

Climate Box coordinator Sabine Wiemann after the event: “An absolutely successful conclusion to our successful project. With this event, we have certainly also set an example of how conferences can become an active and activating event that offers space for exchange and creative ideas. And in terms of sustainability, it also offers something to look at afterwards – the online exhibition.”

Within the scope of the I.CE.A project, the very first Austrian mini workshop on green entrepreneurship was conducted on May 9th 2023 in the offices of die Berater® in Vienna. The workshop focused on introducing the I.CE.A project, presenting its project results – the Interactive Map on Circular Economy and the Toolkit on Green Entrepreneurship. Further, the participants got a chance to learn about the principles and workings of the circular economy and discover new ways of replacing our linear consumption patterns for more circular ones. The workshop also presented the participants with the chance to discover circular and green enterprises in their own country, and hear about examples of such from abroad. Finally, once familiarized with and immersed into the topic, the participants were able to develop and present their own green ideas, sparking the potential of circular economy. This engaging and fun day was also complimented by a short online visit from our Bulgarian partner, BRCCI, who discussed the state of circular economy in Bulgaria and further enriched all vibrant conversations taking place.
The ERASMUS+ project CONVOLUT (CONsider your skills for VOLUnTeering), which started in January 2022, had its first face-to-face meeting on 5-6 April in the beautiful city of Patras (Greece). During these two days, the project partners discussed the upcoming project activities, that revolve around the assessment of the competences of newly retired people for their participation in volunteering activities. Looking forward to having many more of these fruitful sessions with this great partnership!
